Welcome To Medford Monthly Meeting

We hope you will find here a source of help and strength, as your presence will strengthen us.  We worship as a community for an hour every First Day (Sunday) morning.   Our worship nurtures us, helps speak to the needs of seekers, and supports our testimonies on simplicity, integrity, peace, justice, the environment and other social concerns.  Welcome, Friend

The Quaker Peace Testimony:   "We utterly deny all outward wars and strife, and fightings with outward weapons, for any end, or under any pretense whatsoever; this is our testimony to the whole world... The Spirit of Christ, by which we are guided, is not changeable, so as once to command us from a thing as evil, and again to move us into it; and we certainly know, and testify to the world, that the Spirit of Christ, which leads us into all truth, will never move us to fight and war against any man with outward weapons, neither for the Kingdom of Christ nor for the Kingdoms of this world,,, Therefore, we cannot learn war any more."  George Fox, 1660

Refuge Egypt
Refuge Egypt is a program currently educating Sudanese refugee children in Egypt. Laurie Woodill, former FDS student, and several of her classmates at Drew University, assisted the program earlier this year and were dismayed to learn that most children do not advance beyond pre-school. Her goal is to train 2 teachers in Montessori education and provide scholarships for children.  An Egyptian-Sudanese luncheon was served on 5/31 to benefit this program.  Donations can be given to Medford Meeting. To learn more about Refuge Egypt please visit their website.
